For whatever reason the gators historically have a tough time with certain teams. Auburn has ruined our season at least four times that I can think of in the past ten or 15 years. It is funny that we play them almost every year yet our biggest rivalries are UGA, UT, and FSU. I am just glad everyone seemed to lose yesterday and that it is early enough in the season for us to rebound. It might be the best thing possible to have as many one loss teams as we can have just to get rid of the BCS. Even though it was a heartbreaking loss yesterday hindsight shows that it was one of the most amazing days of college football ever with so many upsets. I wonder how many times that many top ten teams have lost in the same weekend. The heroin sheikhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16860402732123149415noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33624629.post-74381840629754678892007-09-30T12:31:00.000-04:002007-09-30T12:31:00.000-04:00Illinois! 4-1!Ron Zook, baby. I disagree! If anything, this week shows the weakness of the SEC.

FLorida lost to Auburn, who already has 2 losses. Alabama lost to FSU, who is not even a top 3 team in the ACC. Georgia still gets credit for a good win against Oklahoma State, who lost to Troy and has shown general suckitude. Tennessee has been blown out twice. Arkansas has a couple losses.

I don't know which conference is the best this year, but I don't want to hear anyone say it is the SEC. They have 1 big non-conference win so far, and that was against a vastly overrated Virginia Tech team (who I legitimately thought was good at the start of the season as well). Maybe this is the year that the PAC 10 is the best. Or, the Big 10 has Ohio State, Wisconsin, and Purdue are undefeated. Illinois and Michigan State have one loss each. Michigan has rebounded nicely from their starting suckiness.

It's going to be a fun ride to the end. But let's not write any 1-loss teams back into the championsip scenarios until they actually beat a good team (that means you, WVU and Florida).Natsfan74https://www.blogger.com/profile/02774593132826810650noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33624629.post-38239105015807239542007-09-30T12:27:00.000-04:002007-09-30T12:27:00.000-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Natsfan74https://www.blogger.com/profile/02774593132826810650noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33624629.post-43276100010009230322007-09-30T11:53:00.000-04:002007-09-30T11:53:00.000-04:00Did I say this already?HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA......Did I say this already?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA......Darklawdoghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10060727121837662812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33624629.post-33386608355507309982007-09-30T11:26:00.000-04:002007-09-30T11:26:00.000-04:00Btw, great day for the ACC: Maryland takes down a ...Btw, great day for the ACC: Maryland takes down a "top" dog in the Big East (I know, comedy abound); FSU takes out 'Bama; and Clemson falls, but allows BC to move strongly into the top 10.Eagle in Brightonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02387603168328339403noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33624629.post-35022080619387564562007-09-30T11:24:00.000-04:002007-09-30T11:24:00.000-04:00@troy: BC will remain ahead of both SC(??) and Ken...@troy: BC will remain ahead of both SC(??) and Kentucky. That's lame, because any decent blogger, including any whose team lost that day, would be posting. I've been thoroughly disappointed these past few months with your attitude, especially when your loyalties lie with SEC and Florida and your bias shines through in everything you write. Teams/conferences that are well established get all sorts of benefit of the doubt when they lose (the underdog gets a boost more than anything else) while teams/conferences that don't have the history are "exposed" when they lose as pretenders.TJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14923521765537437204noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33624629.post-64534459059350524612007-09-30T09:19:00.000-04:002007-09-30T09:19:00.000-04:00That was a rough one. The burn surprisingly doesn't feel as bad as it did the Sunday after last year's Auburn loss. Maybe that's the warm cushion of a national championship--I don't know.

I'm convinced that the AP and Coaches today are not prepared to deal with what happened yesterday and the top 25 (and especially the top 10) will cause a lot of angry punditry this week. I feel like the poll voters will not move some teams (Oklahoma, Texas) down far enough and will have an allergic reaction to pushing some teams (Kentucky, USF) into the top 10. So we'll see something silly like VaTech back in the top 10, Oklahoma still there, and/or WVU still ahead of USF.

For what it's worth, I was able to work through the pain and craziness and come up with a top 10:
LSU
USC
Cal
Ohio State
USF
Kentucky
Wisconsin
S.
