Ok...here's an updated (and brilliant) version of my original idea, since we know Tampa won't sign everyone. Someone puts together a barnstorming team of tainted MLB players. Get them to go around and play independent teams all across the country and the Dominican. Wherever they play, they either donate a chunk of the game ticket sales to some local youth anti-steroid type charity, or play the game for free and make a donation out of their own pockets. The whole thing is a tad outlandish, but you can't tell me something like that wouldn't help improve the image of some of these tainted players. They would be admitting they did something wrong (which worked for Pettitte) while sort of poking fun at themselves for agreeing to play for the team...and most importantly, they would be raising money and bringing awareness to the issue.

...AND you could easily make a reality show out of this!

Oh...and Pete Rose could manage the team.

Someone make this happen!
