Dan, I really don't get why you're so into the shoes. It's like you're perpetually stuck in your teen-aged years or sometime. It just boggles my mind.

Sorry Shanoff, but this whole Specter/Goodell/Spygate thing is a complete joke. Specter has admitted multiple times the only reason he started to look into this is because his team (the Eagles) lost to the Pats in the Super Bowl. That's not a valid reason for him to put his nose in the NFL's business. That just screams of a poor loser with a little too much power.

I wonder what would happen if the Eagles released a statement similar to what the Steelers did last week backing Goodell and the Patriots? Would Specter back off then? I'd hope so, but probably not.

...and the Pats don't need another old, undersized, injury prone MLB like Zach Thomas. The only way the Pats would be interested, is if Bruschi and/or Seau both retired.

johnny b: so funny you say that. I would say that my love of sneakers absolutely traces back to my teenage years -- I can now afford all those shoes (particularly the retro ones) I couldn't afford back then.

By the way, it's no weirder than any other hobby. Some people like going to concerts or wearing nice clothes -- this is just another hobby that involves consumption.

Yeah you're probably right Dan. I think I just don't get it because even in high school I didn't get it. Of course I was also the dorky science/ math type, well I still am.

I just viewed shoes as something to be worn on the feet adn the most important thing was comfort and the second most for me was simplicity in design
