Read This Post: EDSBS "What We Do Here"
If you are at all interested in what sports blogging is about (and a little about the bloggers' relationship with ESPN), read this latest post by Orson at EDSBS. (And if you don't like blogger navel-gazing, you might even like this post, because it sort of rejects navel-gazing, too.) It might go down as the ultimate post on the subject. Filed under: "Damn, I Wish I Wrote That."

It is a well written piece that tells a true story. ESPN is getting so much into stupid self promotion that it hurting it overall product. Do we really want to watch Mike and Mike do a monday night football game/ Do we really need a movie advertisement hidden in a stupid "Who's Now" contest. Do we need stars from disney movies coming on during sportscenter to introduce a segment and give a free commericial.
Don't forget you MnM podcast, video cast, "best of", t-shirts, ESPN mag collumn, etc...
Great link, Dan. I rarely visit EDSBS simply due to their nitche, but a great piece to promote.
Who's More Now: ESPN or WWE? They are both completely BS marketing conglomerates. The only difference is I like WWE.
