Tons of fun to do. Didn't hurt I went 8-0. But picking all favorites (which was the way to 8-0 today) isn't a good long-term strategy.

UPDATE: Damn you, Duke. Damn you. (If you're wondering why I'm cursing them, my "bold" pick of the bracket was VCU over Duke en route to the Sweet 16. Crap.)

Okay, I finished doing my BC won happy dance...
@Brian, I graduated in BC's last year in the Big East, so I still do have lots of fond memories of the Big East. Especially for the bruising teams like Pitt and Georgetown. Those dogfights were always fun, even if we lost more than we won against them.
But we moved on, and both conferences are now a lot different than they were before. So in the 2nd year in the ACC now, there's definitely some conference pride for the ACC (have to prove we were the #1 rated conference for the season). Basically for me it means rooting for all the other ACC teams except Duke.
I'm 3 for 3 in all my brackets.
Todd, being a BC fan like me you have to be excited for the old school big east match up that will more then likely take place on Saturday, as long georgetown wins.
Is anyone else's MMOD staying on the first games and have yet to switch to the games about to start or have starte. ORU is up on Wazzu
No I got the second games, but of course I got booted when I was lunch and I just refreshed it.
Stanford just proved that they were not tournament worthy. Kansas State, Drexel or Cuse were far more worthy.
Now I just hope Arkansas and Illinois get blown out.
Also I will root for any Big East team and against any ACC team in general except for Clemson since I had a good friend who went there.

cycle - I will agree with you on K-State and Cuse but not Drexel, they proved in the 1st round of the NIT they did not belong.
I have one question why does everyone overlook Air Force who got snubbed the worst of all. If you look at RPI they has the best RPI out of Cuse,K-State, and Drexel

I figured MMOD would be blacked out in Canada like CBS shows on CBS.com. I can get every game with no blackouts and it is working in IE7 perfectly.

Here is an uninteresting question? Has there ever been a tourney since the field has had 64+ teams that the higher seeded(or favored team) as one every game?
I guess the Butler-ODU game is the only one really worth paying attention to.
what is the most anyone has scored on that marriot add? I just got over 400 and hit about 7 shots that had 5 banks. you get more points for each basket that bounces off the sides.
I don't know what's more disturbing, that Butler has 29 points in 29 minutes, or that what I just said is true AND they are still only down 3.

But that was a joke. Maryland didn't even get a scare out of Davidson. We knew they were that good. It wasn't a scare that it was a game.

Well with no upsets so far today then maybe Duke is going to lose. I would hate it but would live with it knowing everyone on this blog and others in the media would be treating like Christmas Day.
It's 2007 and ESPN still can't fucking update peoples' brackets in real time. Come on now, when a game ends it should automatically update everyones' brackets. It's like 30-40 minutes after a game ends before brackets get updated.
I'm so confused. I've only gotten one game wrong, yet I only have 20 points on the ESPN Tourney Challenge in the Quickie club. Everyone that has gotten everything right has 30 points. This makes no sense.

At least Stanford wasn't the worst #11 seed in the tournament. They had to play what was essentially a road game against a team that was under-seeded according to most experts. What was GW's excuse?
by my count, there have been 8 teams in the first 12 games that scored 20 points or less in the first half. that's 1/3 of all teams in the first 12 games scoring less than 21 points in the first half. pretty pathetic.
Dan, Dont get too mad yet- VCU just came back from 13 down to tie it, and Duke was starting to look tired. If Dukes gonna let VCU hang around till the end, it can get real interesting. They'll run 'em ragged!

I'm not quite sure how to react... I mean, I know I just saw a monumental upset, or as Kevin Harlan just described it - the biggest win of the first round - and yet somehoe the fans managed to restrain themselves from rushing the court.
I thought this was college basketball - isn't that required after a big win? Hell, after a win of this proportion, the VCU crowd should just rip the seats out of the stands and walk off with them as souveniers.
