1-Seeds Sweep: The Final Four Is Ruined

The Final Four has been ruined.

More tomorrow morning. (But you know you agree with me.)

I don't. This is what should happen. We can have the top 4 teams left playing.

Oh yea! ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK!

I know I do. Please excuse me as I try to choose which to root for: Exxon, GE, Disney, or Microsoft.

On another note: how is KU winning ruining the final 4? I know they played Davidson, but three other 1 won as well. If it was UF, then you know it would be the Best.Four.Ever!

I cannot begin to tell you how much I disagree. We have the 4 best teams in the country in the spotlight, all with top-calibers NBA prospects. It will be awesome bball.

Or you know... it could be the best Final Four in history as the teams who've been in everybody's Top 4 battle it out for the Championship.

Who really wants to see high calibre basketball? Like c'mon! [/sarcasm]

Who would want to watch the 4 best teams play? That sounds boring.

Best. Final Four. Ever.

By seeding, I mean. By interest level? Worst. Ever.

What is "ruined" about the 4 best teams playing for the title? When this happens in other sports, your stance is very different.

You wrote this two days ago, or was this on another blog that just happened to show up on your page.

You can't possibly be rooting against Davidson (unless you're a Kansas fan or near the top of your pool and NEED Davidson to lose) and back in-state, Texas played as well as any 1-seed, but given the way the top seeds are playing, an "all-1" Final Four wouldn't be a terrible outcome.

I think it's cool. The games are going to be awesome. KU versus UNC a run and gun 90-88 type game and then UCLA Memphis a physical battle between Love and the umpteen big men that the Tigers run at him. The games should be great, there are plenty of great storylines, and at least a dozen future NBA players. And this is a bad thing??

Screw basketball: check out that Frozen Four: Michigan, ND, ND and BC.

Don't sleep on the Eagles...this final will have a hell of a lot more drama than that chalktastic basketball semifinal...

I'll never watch the tournament again and neither will anyone else

Oh wait yes I will...and so will everyone else...

Thus, you're wrong again with your always moronic knee jerk reactions

If it happened every year, or every few years, it would be boring. But once in the 30 years they've been seeding teams. I think college basketball will survive it. It certainly makes picking future brackets fun, because you always avoided picking all of the top seeds because they never made it. Now you have to think twice about that.

You are wrong, and history is clouding your judgment. The cinderellas make the first two weeks exciting, but having the best teams makes the Final Four. George Mason making the Final Four was great. George Mason in the Final Four was horrible, and that was one of the most boring Final Fours ever.

agree with jbates92...George Mason was a nice story but that Final Four was terrible as the two underdogs that year (GM & LSU) were both blown out. I think these teams have been clearly at another level all year and this will produce great matchups in the Final 4 for once.

Couldn't agree more. With no particular rooting interest, I find the Final Four completely uncompelling. I may watch, I may not.
