T.O.: O.D. (or Didn't He?)

I have digested WAY too much T.O.-related content this morning, mostly from columnists around the country. Let me try to sum it up, Quickie-style, so you don't have to spend your time on it.

Here, in a baker's dozen of lines -- a mere 56 words (70 syllables!) -- I will explain EVERYTHING opined about T.O. over the last 24 hours:

"T.Ode to T.O. Reactions"

- He tried to kill himself!

No, he didn't!

- He's a egomaniacal prig!

No, he's just troubled!

- Loathe him!

Pity him!

- He's playing us!

He's fooling himself!

- Can we both agree that the media coverage was over-the-top?

Yes, agreed!

- Good! Can we move on now?

Yes! Should I start him in my fantasy league on Sunday?

- Sigh.

Seriously, I have a friend who thinks becuase of all this, T.O. is going to have a MONSTER year, and I have him on my team. I dont need a RB, but he is willing to offer me Steven Jackson for T.O. or any offer I want to put on the table. What do you guys think, after the entire circus we just saw is T.O. going to have a mediocre year, horrible year, or break out year.

I am tired of the whole media hoopla over TO. Even though the boys are my second team after the bucs I am starting to just wish they would go away. I am tired of tuna, TO, And jerry jones and long for the days of landry. He might have let them run wild in the 70's but that is ancient history not instant history. As my name implies I have a fair understanding of what the evil poppy can do to you and one thing I know is that a man of TO's size is most likely not going to die from some painkillers. Even if he had eaten like 30 or so of them I think he would have been ok in the long run. I am not saying he wouldnt be wasted because he would but that itching feeling feeling you get when you take a PK is the allergic reaction. I hope it is all a misunderstanding because you don';t want to see anyone die even someone as annoying as TO is. However I think it would be in everyone's best interest to just forget about it all and not talk about it. If he is indeed depressed and possibly suicidal( which i would be if bledsoe were my qb) then we need to respect his privacy. If it truly was an allergic or bad reaction to pk's from his surgery then it sucks to be him but I hope he is ok. If it was all a ploy to get the media to pay more attention to him then FUCK TO. He is a media whore anyway.

PS I do not condone abusing opiates in any form. It is dangerous and will eventually ruin your life. This ID is a pun on a band name for all the people who actually think I am a junkie.

During the fiasco yesterday I traded Derrick Mason (who was on my bench) for T.O. I love fantasy football.

So what was the back cover of the Post?

Is it bad that all I could think about yesterday is how this effects my fantasy team? Do I still start Drew Bledsoe this week against the sorry Titans?

Thanks for keeping the T.O. bs to a minimum. I honestly don't care at all anymore and would be happy to never hear anythng about T.O again except game stats.

So are they going to put T.O. into the Substance Abuse Program? He allegedly has a pill problem… allegedly.

I am so sick of TO. Whats amazing to me is that the media (ESPN) spent more time on the TO fiasco and the Duke Lax issue than the Reggie Bush taking benefits story, which in my mind is a huge story.
We should be talking about some of the great matchups this weekend. Seattle vs Chicago, NE vs. Cincy, etc...

Just as a thought... If you think the Cowboys saga is already overblown, wait until the first time Mike Vanderjagt opens his mouth...

It's just getting started guys.

There are only two things that really stick out for me from the whole T.O. saga:

1) Why does a professional athlete on a team sport need a PUBLICIST?

2) How SEXY is that publicist of his?
