A's-Twins: Live-Comment Now!

The A's and Twins are underway. I'm not going to be able to live-blog the game, but I encourage you to "live-comment" the game using the Comments section. Have at it!

(Though let me just chime in: My "Frank Thomas for AL MVP" campaign is NOT insane.)

The Twins better start scoring and FAST. If they lose a Santana start - series OVER!!!

Zito is no hitting the Twinkies so far (jinx?)

The Big Hurt has gone deep.

Big Hurt blasts one... 2-0 A's.
If the A's make the ALCS then he might get my support for MVP.

Clutch Playoff Performanece in a Contract Year = Huge Payday

Same rules apply to March Madness and NBA Playoffs (except for Bonzi Wells).

You gotta believe his agents telling him that if him if he wins any postseason award, his guaranteed money contract will be doubled come next year in NY.

4 2/3 innings of no hit baseball for Zito, before crappy Rondell White broke it up.

The A's were being patient and taking pitches early on (51 pitches for Santana in 3 innings), but now it seems Santana is settling down (18 pitches in 4th-6th).

The $8 bucks for the MLB gameday audio to listen on my computer at work sounds expensive, but at least comes with 13 issues of SI. Sure, that'll expire just before they publish the swimsuit issue in February. Boo!

Dan,

may I suggest you hyper-link to the sites you occasionally mention.

Leadoff double wasted by Twins, onto the 9th, A's winning 2-1.

Kurt said...

Frank, two homeruns, Dan's gonna shit himself.

Big Hurt does it again. Wow.

Are you kidding me. Imagine if Frank had to play the White Sox.

Twins fans spoke too soon. So worried about how they were gonna get the other wins besides Santana, should of worried about Santana winning first.

How about that Justin Morneau... I shudder to think of what Dan will say about him in the Instant History mold.

Also, I think Scott Boras is foaming at the mouth right now.

It's absolutely inexcusable that someone who accounts for as much of his team's runs as Thomas does should ever see a pitch to hit with first base open. That team is nothing without him.

Also, let me remind Dan before he decides that this game should solidify Thomas as the MVP that it is the REGULAR SEASON MVP we are talking about so forget about those two dingers when trying to pick someone.

Hitters AB H RBI AVG
Mauer 3 0 0 0
Morneau 4 0 0 0
Hunter 4 0 1 0

The Twins have zero chance of competing with their big three producing virtually nothing... regardless of what Santana does.

Dan called it-

Kudos to you, Dan. Mr. Thomas certainly lived up to your hype. He should be higher on baseball reference's player-win value index.

The Twins blew the biggest home field advantage in baseball today. No, not Santana pitching at home. Opposing teams catching flyballs in that dome!

Where's Tigers-Yanks live commenting?

I want to share my new knowledge - Chien-Ming Wang plays video games. He is NOT afraid of the John Madden Curse.

Apparently there's a curse, for whoever's on the cover? Shaun Alexander has a broken foot now?

(If you think I'm an idiot, you should hear these guys on Fox right now... sigh.)
